Lodge Journal

(Informal tidings of lodge and member happenings)

Date Summary
12/27/2004 We've got a mostly complete line up for 2005.  There is one open position for a Junior Steward that we'll fill later in 2005.  For a sneak peek at the officers go here
12/13/2004 Lodge elections were held and all officers were advanced by one position for 2005.  The installation is scheduled for ***  Wednesday December 29th ***.  We will join Hiram Lodge #40 for this year's installations.  Dinner will be catered by Bill Ellis' BBQ out of Wilson for friends and families!
Check here or the Events Calendar for more updates or information.
12/8/2004 The Ladies Night celebration at the Wake County Shrine Club came off well, but not without a few disappointments.  The entertainment for the evening was cancelled due to a death in his family.  Our hearts go out to the brother and his family. Attendance was also light due to several other events on the same evening.  We'll do better next year!
11/22/2004 Our joint degree work went off really well.  Plans are for the three candidates to continue as a group with Raleigh 500 hosting the second degree, and James B. Green hosting the third.  Teamwork worked well here and hopefully this will be the beginning of many inter-lodge activities!
11/16/2004 Raleigh 500 will be joining us for our degree work this coming Monday, November 22nd.  They are bringing two (2) candidates of their own.  Practice will be held on Thursday, November 18th.  Members from James B. Greene Lodge #735 are expected to join us as well.
11/8/04 Lodge members were elated to learn that our participation in Belk Charity Day helped raise over $400.00 for the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford.  Members and Visitors are thanked for their participation and support!

A first degree was announced to be held on Nov. 22 of this year.

10/31/04 Lodge member and J.W. George Harter and his wife celebrate their third Wedding Anniversary.  Happy Anniversary George and Bridget!
10/30/04 Belk Charity Day -
Lodge members (and visitors!) canvassed the area soliciting people $5 each for discount coupons at Belk stores.

Special thanks to:
Bridget Harter - for giving George inspiration and support and for providing the wonderful Belk location (Cameron Village) for the event.

George Harter - for organizing the activity and keeping it successful these three past years!
